Preconception & Infertility

For couples who have been trying without success, we offer infertility evaluation to understand what may be contributing and discuss next steps.

In-Office Procedures

Diagnostics & In-Office Procedures

Many treatments and diagnostics that once required a separate facility can be done comfortably right here in our office — saving you time and reducing the steps between question and answer.

Nitronox pain relief system

Nitronox — Pain & Anxiety Relief

We offer Nitronox (nitrous oxide + oxygen) for in-office procedures — a safe, fast-acting inhaled blend that takes the edge off pain and anxiety without sedation. You breathe it yourself, it works within seconds, and it clears your system quickly so you can drive home. No IV, no recovery room, no extra appointment.

Colposcopy procedure

Colposcopy

A follow-up examination after an abnormal Pap smear, using a magnifying instrument to closely examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva.

Learn more

Why it's done: Recommended when a Pap smear or HPV test shows abnormal results. Also used to evaluate genital warts, cervicitis, polyps, or unexplained bleeding.

What to expect: Performed in-office, similar to a Pap smear. A mild vinegar solution is applied to the cervix to highlight any abnormal tissue. If a concerning area is found, a small biopsy may be taken.

Recovery: You can resume normal activities immediately. Mild cramping or light spotting may occur. Contact us if you experience heavy bleeding, fever, or severe pain.

Hysteroscopy procedure

Hysteroscopy

A thin, lighted scope passed into the uterus to directly visualize and treat causes of abnormal bleeding, polyps, fibroids, or structural abnormalities.

Learn more

Why it's done: Most commonly used to investigate abnormal uterine bleeding. Also used to remove scar tissue, locate contraceptive devices, or investigate recurrent pregnancy loss.

Preparation: Take ibuprofen and use a vaginal suppository the evening before. Arrange transportation home and arrive 30 minutes early.

What to expect: A 10-minute procedure, often with local cervical anesthesia. Saline gently expands the uterus for better visualization. Small instruments can be passed through the scope to treat findings during the same visit.

Recovery: Mild cramping and light discharge for a few days is normal. Seek care immediately for fever, chills, or heavy bleeding.

Endometrial biopsy procedure

Endometrial Biopsy

A small tissue sample from the uterine lining used to evaluate abnormal bleeding, check for precancerous changes, or assess hormonal response.

Learn more

Why it's done: Identifies causes of abnormal uterine bleeding, detects uterine infections, or investigates infertility. Avoids the need for anesthesia or hospitalization compared to a D&C.

What to expect: Done in-office in the same position as a Pap smear. A thin device passes through the cervix to collect a small tissue sample. The procedure takes only a few minutes.

Pain management: Anesthesia is typically not needed. Taking ibuprofen 30–60 minutes before can minimize cramping. Lidocaine may be used for additional comfort.

Recovery: Cramping resolves quickly. Less common risks include lightheadedness or infection — contact us if symptoms persist.

NovaSure endometrial ablation device

NovaSure Endometrial Ablation

A five-minute, incision-free treatment for heavy menstrual bleeding. A single device delivery of radiofrequency energy removes the uterine lining — most patients experience dramatically lighter or no periods.

Learn more

Who it's for: Premenopausal women with heavy menstrual bleeding from benign conditions who have completed childbearing and haven't responded to medication.

How it works: The cervix is gently dilated and a slender wand with a triangular mesh device is placed in the uterus. The mesh expands to fit the uterine shape, then delivers precisely measured radiofrequency energy for about 90 seconds. The device is removed and you're done.

Recovery: Most patients resume normal activities quickly. Expect some cramping and light bleeding. Contact us for heavy bleeding (more than one pad per hour), severe pain, fever, or chills.

Urodynamic testing equipment

Urodynamic Testing

Bladder function testing to evaluate urinary incontinence, frequency, and urgency — providing the data needed to guide treatment.

Learn more

Why it's done: Determines the specific type of incontinence (stress, urge, or mixed) and is especially valuable when surgery is being considered — ensuring the right intervention is selected.

What to expect: The evaluation lasts about 45 minutes. You'll arrive with a full bladder and urinate into a measuring container. A thin catheter then measures remaining urine and monitors pressure as the bladder is gradually filled. Skin electrodes may be used to measure muscle activity.

Recovery: Most patients have no significant issues. Mild burning or trace blood in urine may occur. Symptoms lasting more than 24 hours warrant a call to our office.

Nitronox pain relief system

Nitronox — Pain & Anxiety Relief

Patient-controlled nitrous oxide and oxygen blend for comfortable in-office procedures. Works within seconds, clears quickly — no IV, no recovery room.

Learn more

What it is: A fixed 50/50 blend of nitrous oxide and oxygen that patients self-administer through a mask. You inhale for about 30 seconds before and during your procedure as needed.

Best for: Pap smears, IUD insertion, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, and NovaSure ablation — any brief minimally invasive in-office procedure.

Safety: Nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") has been used safely in dental offices for decades. It clears from your body through the lungs — most patients can drive home shortly after. Our office uses a gas scavenger system to keep the room safe for everyone.

Pelvic floor physical therapy

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Specialized therapy to strengthen and rehabilitate the pelvic floor muscles, addressing incontinence, pelvic pain, and post-delivery recovery.

In-office diagnostic ultrasound

In-Office Ultrasound

Diagnostic ultrasound performed on-site by a specialized technician — pelvic, transvaginal, and obstetric imaging without the wait of an outside radiology center.
